Purpose:
Outline the steps required to access training materials for Drupal and access the SILS Documentation Site.
Process:
- The SILS Functional Area Lead (Lead) identifies staff who need editor access to the SILS Documentation Site.
- The staff should have a business need to edit content on the SILS Documentation Site.
- The Lead should get approval from the staff’s supervisor.
- Lead opens a Helpbox ticket (cc’ing the staff) requesting access to the SILS Documentation Site sandbox for the staff.
- The Lead shares Drupal training materials, which will include:
- Drupal training folder (UC Berkeley Staff Library staff only).
- Style Guide on the SILS Documentation Site.
- Library IT staff will include instructions on how to access the sandbox and guidance page.
- The Lead shares Drupal training materials, which will include:
- Staff creates sample page on the sandbox.
- Sample page will contain elements outlined in the guidance page.
- Staff notifies Lead that they have completed the page via Helpbox ticket.
- Lead reviews sample page based on rubric and provides feedback if errors are present via ticket.
- Lead updates the Helpbox ticket and requests access to the production environment for staff.
- Once the staff member has access to production, they will coordinate with their Lead and functional area on the process for updating/creating pages on production.
