This page contains documents related to Discovery in the SILS environment, primarily related to UC Library Search (powered by Primo VE).
The Discovery Working Group is responsible for making continuous improvements to the user experience (UX) in UC Library Search and conducts usability tests and discusses user interface (UI) changes which impact users. This group is composed of individuals with subject matter expertise and capacity for participation, are needed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to address issues. The Discovery Working Group is charged to:
- evaluate and test proposed discovery (UC Library Search) enhancements from the Primo VE enhancement request document and the Issues + Ideas Tracker
- support UC-wide Discovery Operations Subteam testing of identified consorita related issues in UC Library Search
- test configurations for UC Library Search
- make recommendations for UC Library Search display based on user-centered design principles
Documentation on this site will continue to change as we gain experience in Alma and UC Library Search, and as new features, processes, and policies are introduced. If you notice anything that needs to be updated or fixed, please let us know using the feedback form.
