DARA - Data Analysis Recommendation Assistant

• Dara provides recommendations to institutions using Alma - suggestions for how to better use Alma
• DARA recommendations can be found on from Admin > Recommendations > Manage Recommendations
• Suggestions are provided once
  • Don’t remove something if someone else could use it!
• Each staff member can only see recommendations relevant to the roles assigned them
• For ERU, the following recommendations would be helpful:
  • Unavailable portfolios
    • Identifies unavailable portfolios in activated collections and recommends activating them
  • Link Standalone Portfolios to CZ
    • Would allow standalone portfolios to receive updates automatically.
    • Not clear if this would be relevant to us since our standalone portfolios are presumably for materials that only we have?
  • Link Electronic Resources to the Community
    • Local portfolios not connected to CZ, enabling them to be updated automatically
  • Link Local Electronic Collections to the CZ
    • Enables automatic updates from CZ
  • My Electronic Resources by Provider
    • Potentially useful - I don’t believe (?) Berkeley uses this currently. DARA would look for resources we can activate that aren’t activated (based on provider account ID)
  • Group Standalone Portfolios
    • Identifies standalone portfolios that share base url
