The host bibliographic tool takes a list of Alma MMS IDs for host bibliographic records and runs a job which returns a list of the MMS IDs recorded in the MARC 774 $w from each host bibliographic record. For each 774 $w, the following bibliographic fields will be included in the output:
- MMS ID
- LDR position 6
- LDR position 7
- MARC 035|a with (OCoLC) prefix
Upload a file
- The text file must have a .txt extension
- No header is required in the file
- Each line of the file should contain a MMS ID for a host bibliographic record
How does it work?
After a user submits the file, a background job is triggered to process the uploaded MMS IDs. Once background job is completed or failed, it will send an email notification.
Email notifications
Depending on the outcome of the background job, the user will receive an email with one of the following messages:
- Succeed: If the background job completes successfully, an email will be sent to the user with a CSV file attached. This CSV file includes host bibliographic and linked bibliographic information.
- Success with unusual behaviors from Host Bibliographic or Linked Bibliographic Marc records: If the background job completes successfully but identifies unusual behaviors from the Host Bibliographic or linked Bibliographic records, an email will be sent to the user with a CSV file includes host bibliographic and linked bibliographic information, and log file indicating unusual behaviors.
- Failed: If the background job encounters any errors during processing, an email will be sent to the user with a message to contact support.
