1. Announcements
The new Chemical and Physical Sciences Librarian, Kristen Greenland will start on 9/30; Sam Teplitzky will officially transition to her new role as the Open Science Librarian. She will continue as the selector and liaison to the Earth and Planetary Science department and become the LBNL liaison.
RDM Operations Group has set goals for the 2019-2020 academic year which include outreach to new researchers, professional development programming to develop data savvy librarians, reworking the process of data acquisition, and new work on computing and storing research data that needs additional security.
The EPS division will be cosponsoring a talk on GeoDeepDive with the Earth and Planetary Sciences Department
3:45 pm on Thursday 10/24 in McCone Hall
The new exhibit "Power and the People: The U.S. Census and Who Counts" launches later this month in the Brown Gallery. A series of events will be announced in conjunction with the exhibit.
Shannon Kealy will arrive as the new division head for LHS later this fall.
