Purchase over-the-counter services and copy cards with campus-issued
Visa bluCard
The cardholder must be the purchaser of the services/debit cards when
ordering on behalf of the unit.
Purchase the services in person: the
bluCard holder may place Visa bluCard purchases at a Canon Copy Service
location.
- Take your department specific order form to a Copy Center location.
- In the Canon Copy Center, the Canon Associate will complete your order
and provide a receipt after charging your purchase to your bluCard.
- Keep your receipt and invoice from the Canon Associate, attach it to
your bluCard form and send it to your departmental purchasing
assistant/agent.
Order services via fax, intercampus mail or phone
- Please provide the name and telephone number of the bluCard Holder on
the order.
- If the order is faxed or mailed, do
not include the credit card number and expiration date on the form.
The Cardholder must phone in the credit
card number and expiration date to the Canon Associate.
- If the order is faxed or phoned in, a signature is not required; but
the Cardholder must return all supporting documentation to the
departmental Office of Record for bluCard documentation. Check with your
business or purchasing office if you need assistance.
- Once the order has been processed, the Canon Associate will contact
the Cardholder to notify them that the order is ready for pickup.
- It is not required for the bluCard Holder
to pick up the order if the charge was authorized via phone. Anyone
authorized by the bluCard holder can pick up the order.
- The credit card receipt and supporting documents must be returned to
the Cardholder for record management.
- The invoice and credit card authorization must be attached to the
order form.
Copyright and Fair Use
Copyright and the "fair use" doctrine are of special concern in education
and research. As both creators and users of copyrighted and public domain
materials, it is vital that the University of California faculty,
students, and staff understand and responsibly exercise the rights
accorded them under the copyright law, particularly now in light of new
technologies and laws that challenge long-standing educational and library
exemptions and interpretations. To this end, the University of California
has created the UC Copyright
Education Web Site.
