Collection Description
Berkeley's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Collections are concentrated mainly in the humanities and social sciences housed in the Gardner Stacks of Doe Library. See Related Subjects for additional materials. Reference materials in LGBT Studies are located in the Reference Center including the North Reading Room and Reference Hall, 2nd floor of Doe. The Bancroft Library contains the "Sexual Orientation and Social Conflict Collection" which includes primary and secondary sources covering various political, social, and legal issues and events involving the intersection of LGBT and heterosexual communities. Gay Bears; The Hidden History of the Berkeley Campus is another special collection of the University Archives..
Electronic Journals
A number of journals in Gender and Women's Studies (including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Studies) are available electronically. Access to these titles is restricted to on-campus users and currently enrolled students, faculty and staff.
