Water Resources Abstracts
Water Resources Abstracts (WRA) is a bibliographic abstract database prepared from materials collected by more than 50 water research centers and universities in the United States. The file covers a wide range of water resource topics including water resource economics, ground and surface water hydrology, metropolitan water resources planning and management, public health, and water-related aspects of nuclear and radiation safety. WRA is available on the Internet via Cambridge Scientific Abstracts.

USGS Daily Values
The Daily Values CD-ROM contains data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) at their surface water monitoring stations. The data have been downloaded from the USGS WATSTORE Daily Values database and published by Hydrosphere Data Products (Windows version). Most of the data are historical stream flow records, but there is also some information on water and soil temperature, wind, dissolved oxygen, and reservoir storage. Information for the entire U.S. is published on four compact discs. WRCA has information for the following states only: Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Daily Values is also available on the Internet at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/.

USGS Peak Values
The Peak Values CD-ROM contains the hydrological data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey for the entire period of record and is published by Hydrosphere Data Products (Windows version). The Peak Flow file is a collection of instantaneous maximum (peak) discharge data and associated gage height measurements made at streams throughout the United States, Canada, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Trust Territories of the Pacific. Peak Values is also available on the Internet at http://water.usgs.gov/nwis/.

BASINS
Better Assessment Science Integrating Point and Nonpoint Sources (BASINS)
is a multipurpose environmental analysis system for use by regional, state, and local agencies in performing watershed- and water-quality-based studies. It was developed by the U.S. EPA's Office of Water to address three objectives: 1.) To facilitate examination of environmental information; 2.) To support analysis of environmental systems; 3.) To provide a framework for examining management alternatives. A geographic information system (GIS) provides the integrating framework for BASINS. WRCA has discs for U.S. EPA Regions 8, 9, and 10 and a User's Manual. BASINS CDs are also available for free from the U.S. EPA, Office of Water, Office of Science and Technology, Washington, D.C. Also available for downloading from the Internet: http://www.epa.gov/OST/BASINS/
