Library Resources For Faculty
Welcome to the Education Psychology Library at UC Berkeley. The EDP Library is part of the UC Berkeley Library, one of the finest and largest libraries in the United States. There are over twenty libraries on the UC Berkeley campus. In addition, the UC Berkeley Library is part of the California Digital Library, a ten campus consortium of UC libraries.
Collections at the EDP Library focus on books, electronic databases, journals, documents and dissertations in the fields of education and psychology. Since the Social Welfare Library joined the EDP Library under one administrative unit, the combined collections now include social welfare-related books, databases, journals, documents and dissertations.
The Librarians at the EDP and SocW libraries serve as liaisons to the Graduate School of Education, Department of Psychology, and School of Social Welfare, and provide a first point of contact for information about library policies, procedures and services. They also provide specialized reference consultations, offer course-related library instruction, create bSpace library course guides, advise on the design of library-related assignments, and purchase books, digital resources, journals and other library materials.
The UC Libraries and campuses have been very involved in recent scholarly publishing endeavors and events. New technologies, the escalating cost of digital resources, and market issues have all contributed to change and vulnerability in the scholarly communication landscape. Consult a Librarian and/or the links below for more information.
