Interlibrary Borrowing Services
- Request books, journal articles, conference papers and theses not owned
at UCB by filling out the Interlibrary
Borrowing Services Online Form.
- Requested books will be available in Room 133 Doe Library in 2 weeks on
average; requested journal articles will be sent directly to the requester.
- Articles are available slightly sooner through the Web delivery option
(default).

UC-eLinks Single Citation Linker 
The UC-eLinks Single Citation Linker is an interface that allows you to locate the full text of an article from a citation. Your search results will show a direct link to online full text of the article or links to the Melvyl catalog for library holdings and call numbers. This interface also allows UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students to request materials from another library if no UCB access or library holdings are found.
CDL Request
- Request books from other UC Libraries using the Request button in the
MELVYL
Catalog.
- Request journal articles from many article indexes (e.g. PubMed, Biosis,
Web of Science, etc.) using the UC-eLinks
button, if UCB does not own them.
- Requested books will be available in Room 133 Doe Library in 3-10 days
on average. Requested journal articles and conference papers are delivered
via the web or sent directly to the requester.

NRLF Paging
- Page books, journal volumes, and journal articles stored at the Northern
Regional Library Facility (NRLF) by filling out the NRLF Paging form at
the Bioscience Library Circulation Desk or Reference Desk. UCB faculty,
staff and students can also page NRLF materials through Pathfinder
(requires logon).
- Requested items will be available at the Bioscience Library Circulation
Desk in 3 working days on average. Journal articles requested through Pathfinder
can be delivered via the web.

Expedited Article Requests
- Request expedited service on journal articles not available at UCB by
filling out the Expedited Article Request
Form or by talking to a librarian at the Bioscience Library Reference
Desk. The online form is for Departments of Integrative Biology
and Molecular and Cell Biology and College of Natural Resources faculty,
staff and graduate students. Other UCB faculty and staff must visit
the reference desk to make an expedited article request.
- This service is available for urgent requests only. (upcoming publishing
deadline, etc.)
- Some documents will not be available from this service. In this case,
we will forward your request to Interlibrary Borrowing Service.
- Requested documents will be available at the Bioscience Library Circulation
Desk in 1-3 days on average.
